I sure do! I was driving my husband to the airport to drop him off for a business trip. We received a phone call from his boss – – – “Go home, you won’t be flying anywhere today”. I called my mom in Florida – – – “Turn on the news, you won’t believe what’s happened”. None of us will forget that day, nor should we!
Today we remember the men and women who lost their lives that day and honor the rescue workers, men, women and dogs, that spent weeks at ground zero saving lives and recovering the lost. Of the over 100 dogs that were there, only 12 still live. Search and rescue dogs are brilliant and amazing creatures that have come to the aid of so many disaster victims over the years. Please take a moment to watch this video tribute to the dogs of 911.
